Friday of the 4th week of Easter. C. John 14:1-6
God has a plan to be with us
As Jesus continues to bid farewell to his disciples, he begins by telling them, "Do not let your heart be troubled" (In John 14:1). Even in this difficult moment of trial, Jesus wants his disciples to have confidence in him and to keep trusting in God. The disciples are to maintain their peace and confidence because God’s plan is certain. God will be in charge and will provide for their needs. Moreover he is now fulfilling his plan to be with us in heaven., our final home “I am going to prepare a place for you”. Jesus reassures us as St. Augustine used to say, “We are citizens of heaven”.
Jesus, I trust in you
