Saturday of the 3rd week in ordinary Year A. Mark 4:31-45

January 31, 2026 Holy Redeemer Church

Learning to have faith in the storms is important. It happens in our lives that, we focus on what we see and not the invisible hand of the creator. We see the wind, the storm and their manifestations but not the one who created them who gives them power. The Israelites in the wilderness often forgot who God was: the Almighty, the Creator, the Redeemer, the Savior, the healer, the Everlasting Father. As we find ourselves in the boat of this earth full of storms let's never forget that, Christ Jesus who was with the disciples in the boat is present in the boat of our lives today! He will calm the wind and an end the storms of sin and death. Jesus is teaching us that Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm. Storms teach us to learn to surrender fully to God, instead of the circumstance we might be in. Know who you have in the boat!

St. John Bosco, pray for us!
