We are thrilled to announce “29:11: Full of Hope,” this year’s HRC Discovery Retreat for kids 6th–8th Grade, taking place on Saturday, November 22, from 9a.m. to noon on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
As we head into this final stretch of the Jubilee Year of Hope, which was opened by the late Holy Father, Pope Francis of happy memory, and that Pope Leo XIV now continues to lead, we want our SEEKERS Discovery kids and their friends to soak in the truth that God has a plan for their lives—“a plan to give [them] a future full of hope” (Jer 29:11). In spite of all the despair and uncertainty that may surround these kids amid the passing trends of this social-media-crazed culture, God never changes. Whatever path they take, with Him and in His plan, they can race toward that future with confidence and the certainty that, in the end, it’s going to be so, so good.
This overnight retreat will include all the signature elements of Holy Redeemer Kids Ministry events: excellent music, engaging talks, testimonies, small group discussions, indoor and outdoor fun, time with friends, and—most importantly—the opportunity to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to encounter Jesus, who gives us “hope that does not disappoint” (Rom 5:5).
The retreat is for kids participating in our SEEKERS Discovery program, but it’s open to all Middle School aged kids whether or not they attend Holy Redeemer. There’s a $40 fee to attend, which covers meals and materials, but it’s free for all SEEKERS kids and Holy Redeemer parishioners.
