Stewardship Corner - 08.24.25

September 2, 2025 Emily Arthur

Stewardship Corner

The foundation of the heart to start a life of stewardship begins with a deep sense of gratitude. When we recognize that all we have—our time, talents, resources, and even our very lives—are gifts rather than possessions, our posture shifts from ownership to responsibility.

This inner awareness cultivates humility and opens the heart to a higher calling: to care for and wisely manage what has been entrusted to us. Gratitude becomes the soil in which stewardship takes root, reminding us that giving, serving, and protecting are not duties but privileges.

From this foundation, a life of stewardship grows through intentional action and daily choices. It’s not limited to financial giving or environmental care, though those are part of it. True stewardship touches every aspect of life: how we spend our time, how we treat others, and how we contribute to the well-being of our communities. When the heart is aligned with purpose, stewardship becomes a natural expression of love—love for God, for others, and for the world around us. In this way, the heart leads to conversion and transformation to imitate the life of Christ. May God grant us the grace to have an abundant grateful heart and begin our way of life in Stewardship. Amen.
